after almost a 2-year wait, finally i get to see a smile on my hubby's face. no, i'm not pregnant. and no, we are not moving into a new house this year either, not just yet.
it's a victory on my side, the way i look at it, for having procrastinated long enough to get it done and over with.
yes. alfy's iBook G4 has a new screen now. the used-to-be-a-laptop at one time became a desktop because i accidentally knocked it down onto the floor. how'd it happen? well, the hairdyer wire got stuck and intertwined with the laptop cable and then the rest was history. i still remembered that very morning clearly. afly was in the bathroom taking the shower and hollered 'what was that ???' when he heard a smashing sound. horrified and gaping at at the sight of the laptop, i figured best was to tell him it was the hairdyrer that fell onto the floor instead. hahah. what on earth was i thinking...
anyways, since then, that laptop had become a desktop coz it was connected to a-very-much compatible monitor screen (courtessy of Mak Lan,) Thanx Mak Lan!
anyways, though i know a brand new MACBook pro would have paid justice to all his losses, well at least the iBook is now mobile.

'my day' finally arrived
yesterday was a very historical moment for me. friday, april the 18th 2008, eiman finally uttered the word 'mommy'.after one year and 9 months of desperately trying to get him to say it, i gave up sometime ago when he decided to call me by my name instead.
yesterday though, when he realised how emotionally happy i was at the sound of it, he kept repeating the word 'mommy' as though it was some kind of a magical chant. hehehe..
kak intan, kakak & abang ebi,
yes. i am very much alive guys. thanx 4 constantly being on the look out for this lonely blog. i have not been very kind to it lately, just like how work has not been that kind to me either, off late.
with secretaries' week event now over, i hope i have more time to write from now onwards. well, but then again i have a paper to complete in 1 and a half years time...so how?

still in my twenties...
as i sit in front of my computer this morning, i could not help feeling so very sleepy of course- arrived home at 5am just now, washed up and dozed off for less than 2 hrs before getting ready to work.
my plan at first was to share with all of you every detail of my birthday celebration, but i believe ebi would have it up on his blog soon, so i will just add in some photos later.
on my way to work this morning, i realised just how very lucky i really am. to each and everyone of you who made yesterday a beautiful episode in my life, and spent big bucks on the birthday surprise(s), i seriously can't find ways to thank you from the bottom of my heart....THANK YOU and I love you!!
Farizan & all at work for the mischievious 'meeting' surprise, Abg Ebi for Tony Romas and the birthday gift, Kak Yuz, Kak Idah, Kak Adek, Kak Yana and Uncle Kam for the most entertaining birthday karaoke party ever...i was secretly hoping for a little surprise, but the extravagance was really overwhelmingly nice.
Of course, not forgetting Alfy, the best gift of my life.
~I don't really care much about what tomorrow brings, for all of you have made yesterday a lifetime remembrance. Thank you.~
SURPRISE!!!the 8th floor clan.
Yusof's Angels..
typical me, must tapau leftovers!

Tadaa.....i'm back
Amboi...seronoknya menyanyi....hangpa memang tadak kerja lain. Anyways, this is a quick one to let all of you know I am still very much alive-and have been in constant touch this blog..just don't have the time to post or comment.
Well, just to share with you guys on my latest development....hehehe...check out my new hairdo....Melvin, the hair stylist at this newly opened hair salon at Darby Park did this. Finally, something I can look forward to when going to work. Thanks Melvin! Great job!
ok, here's before...with my boss during our recent Hari Raya Open House
and after....
melvin says its a lil like posh, but i think a lot like kak idah ey? what do u think?
other than that my life's been quite normal despite the fact that every weekend's been occupied with endless trips to masjid india getting this and that for shariman's wedding.
and...somewhere along the way i have developed a new interest. beading. linda, my GM's secretary (who reads this blog constantly, again too shy to leave comments)shared with me her skills on beading. so off we went again to masjid india last friday to purchase 4 packets of imported Japan beads, needle and thread, and walaaa...check this out.
my entire weekend spent on one sleeve.
yesterday she lent me this book, quite helpful, but the illustrations fail sikit. so we just have to pandai2 la i guess. anyone knows if kinokuniya has a better version? she paid RM60 for this book....errr..i will just copy some of the pages kut..

A delayed entry-HARI RAYA in KL
Ok. i know everyone must be wondering why has this blog come to a standstill...here are 5 reasons why-
1.i had to work till the eve of raya
2.three days of raya at home was like hosting somebody's wedding
3.back to work on 4th day of raya -hmmmcud have updated the blog then as i had the office all to myself then, but then again, haha...the more work there is, and no one to delegate it to
4.rushed back to penang on 6th Raya for about 4-5 days (didn't even have much opportunity to have my favourite foods...semuanya makan ketika menziarahi sanak saudara sahaja.oh wait...but we did have good Thai food at Siriwan one of the nights there)
5. upon returning to kl, the office open house was due in three days...press kits, RSVPs, itinerary, task delegation list...sigh. really, if i were obscenely rich, i would ..i would...just walk out.
Last year's raya was a blast coz it was shortly after my two months maternity leave and we spent almost a week in Penang! This year's not too bad as well.
Well, at least I had the privilege of enjoying these few things during the eve of and Hari Raya Aidilfitri:-
2 Days to Hari Raya....could not sleep until 1:00a.m. so went to damansara uptown with alfy and had kerang goreng chilli.
yummy.
Eve of Hari Raya.....dammit the obsession towards kerang kicked in again-no i am not pregnant, it's normal for me to have sudden urge over certain foods. so this time dragged Abg Ebi, Kak Ana, & Effie to Jalan Alor. Savoured some awesomely gewd siput sedut & fried oyster.
1st day Hari Raya.....late as usual, so Alfy dropped us off at the kubur and headed for his Raya prayers at the mosque nearby. Spent almost 1 1/2 hrs there before making it home to have the first nasi impit & kuah kacang of the day. By now Ebi & Shuriana were frantically aksing us why were we taking hours to get to Nirwana from Melawati. Made it to Ebi's parents place filled with all sorts of good food. Lontong was fantastic. Rendang paru sedap gila. Trying hard to save some space for later. At kg.pandan, mama's lamb kuzi was unforgettable. and of course the not-to-be-missed soto was the perfect indulgence. Before balik rumah singgah at Pak Akob's place but he was not around. His daughters served us another round of shall we say 4th round of nasi impit & rendang of the day? Home was so near yet so far. Made another quick stop at Aunty Zain's house. Another bite I will explode to pieces. But hey, that's unlikely to happen right? right?...next thing i knew i was having satay & sup ekor. ok. time to go home now coz apparently Aunty Yam & family had made their way there. Sembang punya sembang, nyanyi punya nyanyi, tau-tau dah nak dekat malam. so that was the first day. filled with lovely food & people.
eiman and his spaghetti-craze
it's in the genes..eat till you drop.

Ms Yang Peruz has decided to go PUBLIC!
Finally, the queen of our hearts made it to the blogosphere world.(i was made to understand she previously had one, but it's restricted for public viewing).
and so kak yuz, to welcome your first post, i have put it here and to my friends who have been visiting but too shy to pen down your comments, i bet you have heard of her many hillarious life experiences from me. feel free to click on her link on the side panel of my page.
Firstly....Applause! Applause!
What a good way to start a blog, by wishing all you jhoras Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Mohon maaf, yang driving to kampung, please drive safely, don't forget to wear seat belts, di mana sahaja anda berada (as in front or back).
I will be back tomorrow or the day after with my version of the cookies baking session, Ebi's version a bit dry :-)
This blog was created in 5 minutes. A more pleasing look will be coming your way after I consult experts (eintanz the freelance Consultant)
By the way, picture courtesy of Ewnict!!
