CALLING all karaoke lovers! You can now harness your vocal prowess anywhere and anytime by connecting to a television set, without having to lug around a DVD (digital versatile disc) player and karaoke discs.
All you have to do is to carry along a microphone with 2,064 built-in songs and karaoke functions, connect it to a television set and, voila, the song and lyrics appear on screen.
Called Magic Sing, the portable karaoke set was invented by South Korean firm, Enter Tech Co Ltd, which is listed on Kosdaq (equivalent to Nasdaq in the US and Mesdaq in Malaysia).
Enter Tech’s Asean representative, Bill Ko, said the company is a pioneer in the new karaoke technology, which is set to revolutionise the next-generation karaoke equipment.
“We already have 50 per cent market share in Japan (which invented the karaoke) and sold US$65 million (RM222 million) worth of the product last year to 54 countries,” Ko told Business Times.
The all-in-one digital karaoke microphone is distributed locally by Voice Creations Sdn Bhd, endorsed by its director, local jazz and swing crooner Sharizan Borhan.
Magic Sing can be upgraded to include thousands more songs than the built-in 2,064 English songs through the purchase of additional song microchips made by the company and sold at selected outlets: In-Q Box in 1Utama shopping centre, CMY Audio and Visual in Sungai Wang Plaza, Tong Lee Co in Low Yat Plaza and online at Malaysia Airlines Temptations.
Magic Sing also has a built-in scoring system to rate one’s performance, a contest programme, random play, adjustable tempo, pitch, echo, four slots for optional song chips, volume control and song key change functions.
Retailing at RM988 apiece, Magic Sing comes with a fashionable and compact carry bag, background scenery, a microphone stand, cable and adapter, song list and a user’s manual.

first paragraph is a fine example of "what you have, mine is better"...very jhora.
whatever it is nani, you are definitely papa's fav niece with the delivery of the 3 balang makmor. papa opened it immediately, and started to eat while watching football.
this morning at sahur mama said, "banyaknya nani bagi", then papa said, "habis tu macam mana? nak kena bagi balik ka?"...that's humour at 5 am.
hahaha...very funny JIM. I also have the mic stand, you just didn't know.
k.yuz, well true but still, if it had been only 2000 songs then mine costs only RM600...so still good buy lah kan..anyway makmor tu saja buat banyak coz i know he'll take it while watching TV. So hope it'll last him even after raya!!takpa..habaq kat mama, that's 'strategic planning'-so i get to have more share of soto this year!
wow ada stand. bleh nyanyi mcm mariah kari.
Maybe I should ask Zaidi to write about you, Nani.
Hmm.
Maybe I should ask him to get me a discount too...
Ewnict,
Not only soto tapi Papa's CDs. Then again banyak lagu PRamlee and Sharifah Aini.
Btw, Papa has started on the makmor last night. The minute Alfy left he got cracking opening the one balang. He was taken aback though sebab balang cantik sangat and the makmor is so cute.Siap dengan riben lagi.
Thank you Nani, Antie and Alfy....
mata pena-zaidi from nst? mala's hubby ke? well..u gotta wait in line my fren...have promised harian metro an interview right after raya...ooooh..i'm hot stuff, despite my size..jgn mare...
Madam Curi, bet you all can tell the difference...balang see thru yg siap beriben-riben tu is mama punya kerja lah...yg balang merah herot-petot tu,paham-paham je lah..
the pleasure is ours.

JIM
Zaidi WAS Mala's husband. Now he is Farrah Naz Karim's husband....!!!!!
And I know why he wrote the story. Farrah can sing well. She even won the intermedia Karaoke competition at NPC... I am sure has one of those.
Maybe I should call Farrah and ask her to get me a discount...
